Look at the Formula of Male Enhancement Pills Before you Buy

The blue pill was hailed as the savior of men with ED but as its effects became apparent, more and more men turned to herbal solutions. This has spawned a large number of manufacturers offering “herbal” pills for sexual health, some of them with dubious claims.

One must dig a little bit deeper to find out the formula of herbal male enhancement pills. There are two things to know. One is that the right herbs must be chosen for their specific action on arousal and erection. Two, the herb must be present in sufficient quantity in order to achieve the desired effect. Most pills on the market either do not contain the right set of herbs or the amount is so less as to have little or no effect.

Horny goatweed is a necessary ingredient in male enhancement pills. It contains Icarrin, a natural aphrodisiac. Ginseng has ginsenosides and aglycones with a similar effect of vasorelaxation leading to better erection. Wild Yam has its set of saponins like dioscin and diosgenin. Vinpocetine from periwinkle has a potent effect on male organs. Saw palmetto has naturally occuring sitosterols that prevent testosterone from turning to dihydrotestosterone, besides ensuring prostate health.

For the chemicals in the herbs to have a systemic effect, they should be present in sufficient quantity and the quality of the herb itself should be finest, chosen for high active ingredient content. Herbs may be processed to extract the active ingredient. One must know about this before settling on any herbal pill otherwise it may just have a placebo effect instead of achieving its claimed purpose.
